Tim has a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management from Humboldt State University and more than 36 years’ experience in administrative forest management. Tim specializes in long-term planning and implementation of silvicultural practices for private landowners. He has experience with the Acquisition/Disposition of timberlands, appraisal and marketing, logging administration, and forest health assessment. Tim can prepare yield tax documents to be submitted to The Board of Equalization. He is also an active member of the Society of American Foresters.
Jimmy has over 20 years experience in land management - covering all aspects from marking and cruising timber, to laying out timber harvest plans (THPs) for industrial timberland owners, conducting inventory and post-harvest cruises, and conducting environmental and sensitive species surveys.
Bob brings 36 years’ industry experience to the BlackFox team His vast expertize include Timber Harvest Planning, Administration and Compliance, Timberland Appraisal, Sales and Acquisition, as well as Biomass Fuels Procurement and Log Buying. He is currently overseeing compliance of activities under the California Forest Practice Act.
Katie prepares timber harvest plans that includes Layout, writing, marking and map preparation under the supervision of an RPF, Environmental documents such as conversions, exemptions, and emergency notices under the supervision of an RPF, and all GIS work for Black Fox Timber Management Group.
Travis has been the lead Forester on the largest wildlife survey contract ever awarded to a single company for 4 years running. He has conducted and supervised several thousand California and Northern Spotted Owl Surveys. Travis is Also the current Reforestation Forester and is licensed in pesticide applications.
Josh is head of the inventory department and supervises multiple cruise projects every year. His specialty is data analysis and custom data collection applications. He has over 10 years' experience in all aspects of forestry including Unit layout, Planting admin., Marking, and Wildlife surveys. Josh also assists with the Tree Mortality projects and Public Relations.
Chaz began his forestry career with ORM and is one of the original three to be brought on when Black Fox opened its doors in 2007. Since then he has been responsible for countless timber marking projects throughout California and Oregon. Chaz specializes in selective logging prescriptions and habitat restoration through selective thinning practices. Chaz’s artistic approach to timber marking has been what helps maintain the highest standards in forestry.
Cindy handles many of the administrative aspects of Black Fox Timber Management Inc. From Invoicing to Payroll, to Accounts Receivable, she has a hand in just about everything. Cindy has been with us from the very beginning and with 10 plus years’ experience as an administrator, she knows exactly what it takes to keep the company running smoothly and efficiently.
Shirin has a degree in Archaeology and Study of Religion from University of California, San Diego. She has completed several archaeological reports from various sites in Siskiyou County by conducting research and applying survey methods in sensitive areas that may contain historic or prehistoric archaeological significance. She has been a member of Black Fox family since August of 2017, and is currently working towards a master’s degree in archaeology.
Jan has been a part of the Black family since 2011 and has becoming a crutial part of keeping things running smoothly. Jan handles the data associated with wildlife surveys and makes sure that this sensitive information is organized and catalogued by the highest standards.
Stephanie has been a Siskiyou County resident since 1995, during which time she completed a B.S. in Environmental Science with a minor in Fisheries and Wildlife. She is currently enrolled at Oregon State University and will finish a Master’s of Natural Resources in December of 2018 with an emphasis in GIS and wildlife. She has experience with Northern Spotted Owls, Northern Goshawk, and mesopredators and will support the field crew. She is an active member in The Wildlife Society - Western Section Sacramento Shasta Chapter.
