With humble roots, Emerald Kingdom Greenhouse started doing business out of a small garage in Weaverville, CA. Shortly after legislative (Proposition 64), changes in California agribusiness was rapidly developing. Many new small-scale greenhouse businesses were sprouting up, meaning having an agile growth strategy and marketing plan is the difference between life or death for a business in this cut throat, well-financed industry.
Serious Marketing Strategy Needed
Jeff Lloyd, CEO initially asked Look Serious to create engaging content for their social media channels. Soon after their Facebook likes were seeing steady growth, LS was asked to shoot a full-scope installation video series of a 80×24 greenhouse. We spent 7 days capturing footage and over 200 hours editing the footage into a streamlined, 15 chapter comprehensive greenhouse installation video guide for their paying customers. The installation and creative video content was a visible success, and EKG asked us contract with them long-term and develop a full-scale strategic marketing plan for their business.
Inbound Growth & Increased Sales
Video, organic SEO, Adwords, and artistic, engaging social media content were set in place as foundational building blocks for EKG’s continued growth and increase in visibility in a crowded, cut throat and fiercely competitive market. LS developed distinct customer profiles for communication planning. We designed branding graphic sets for print collateral, trade shows, events and “take-home” marketing materials for on-the-fence buyers. A modern, mobile-friendly, media rich website and blog, with an updated e-commerce web-store complete with Google analytics and keyword optimized page content were launched mid January 2017. Finally, we designed an app-interface for their WiFi enabled greenhouse management application (COPIOUS – Smart Greenhouse).
